ACTION

Automatic code generation and continuous optimization for interactively composed process models

The idea of project ACTION is to interactively model processes of any complexity, generate their codes, and permanently optimise their workflows. ACTION makes it possible to document processes semi-automatically and intuitively, through the use of chatbots and in dialogue with everyone who is involved in the process. Whereas before, processes used to be defined in isolation at the drawing board, ACTION makes it possible for everyone involved to engage with each other in dialogue and describe their process in natural language. Smart chatbots provided by ACTION are integrated into the conversation and assume the role of the IT systems that are involved.

ACTION displays a formal process model in the background so that everyone involved can see live how the process is being created. By actively carrying out feasibility analyses during modelling and offering suggestions for improvement, ACTION is instrumental in improving quality. The development concept also envisages supporting users throughout the entire process lifecycle by actively monitoring each execution, identifying and eliminating bottlenecks with regard to IT capacities, and using intelligent algorithms to identify and report deviations from the process model and the actual process reality.
